Anyone Have Experience with the Nike Sumo SQ Driver?

I’ve been on the hunt for a new driver and the Nike Sumo SQ Driver keeps popping up on my radar. I’m really curious about it, especially since I’ve heard mixed reviews.

Here are a few questions I have in mind:

  • Performance: How does it perform compared to newer models? Is it easy to control and get distance?
  • Comfort: How does it feel during swings? Is it lightweight enough for long rounds?
  • Durability: Does anyone have insights on how well it holds up over time?

What I’m Looking For:

I’m hoping to hear from anyone who’s had a chance to use this driver. If you’ve owned it or tested it out, your feedback would be invaluable.

  • Pros and cons: What do you love and what drives you crazy about it?
  • Comparisons: If you’ve used other drivers, how does the Nike Sumo SQ compare?

Buying Options:

Also, if anyone knows where I might find a good deal on one, I’d appreciate the pointers!

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

I’ve been using the Nike Sumo SQ Driver for about a year now. The distance is impressive compared to my old driver. I consistently hit an extra 10-15 yards.

That’s great to hear! How does it handle accuracy? I’ve heard mixed reviews.

Accuracy has been solid for me, Sarah. I find it easier to hit straight shots. Definitely better than my previous driver, which used to slice a lot.

That’s reassuring! How does it feel during play? Is it comfortable?

The Sumo SQ is comfy for me. The grip feels great, and I love the sound it makes on impact. It adds to the overall experience, don’t you think?

Completely agree, Joanne! The sound is unique – it’s almost like the driver is excited to hit the ball.

I haven’t tried the Sumo SQ Driver yet. Is it really worth upgrading from a standard driver? I want better stability off the tee.

Bryant, I’d say the Sumo is worth it! It gave me better stability, especially on misses. It’s forgiving and keeps you in the game.

That’s interesting, zjohnson! Does it work well on the rough or just the fairway?

I’ve mainly used it on the fairway, but while playing, it still performed decently out of the rough. I was able to get decent lift even from tough lies.

That’s promising! I’m debating whether to get one for next season.

Do it, Justin! I think you’ll be happy with the performance. Just make sure you try it out first to see if it fits your swing style.

Totally agree. It’s so important to get the right fit. Just a reminder, though: don’t get too caught up in brand loyalty!

I’m a bit skeptical about the Sumo having a big following. Some say it’s all marketing. Anyone have feedback on that?

Marystewart, while there’s a lot of marketing behind it, results don’t lie! I’ve had consistent performance, and plenty of friends swear by it. It’s not just hype.

I’ve been using the Nike Sumo SQ Driver for about a year, and I love the large clubhead. The weight distribution really helps with stability during the swing.

The aerodynamic design of the Sumo SQ Driver is impressive. It really cuts through the air and helps with swing speed.

That’s so true! I noticed a big difference in my swing after switching to it. Definitely enhances performance for golfers at all levels.
