Anyone have feedback on the Titleist Pro V1 392 balls?

I’m really curious about the Titleist Pro V1 392 golf balls from the early 2000s. I’ve heard a lot of talk about their performance and how they compare to newer models.

Here’s what I’m specifically looking for:

  • Characteristics: What did you notice about the feel and playability of these balls?
  • Comparisons: How do they stack up against the latest Pro V1 offerings? Is there a significant difference in performance?
  • Availability: Are they still easy to find, and are they worth picking up for a casual round?
  • Personal Experience: If you’ve used them, what’s your overall impression? Would you still recommend them for today’s game?

Looking forward to hearing from anyone who has tried these out or has insights to share!

I’ve been using the Titleist Pro V1 392 balls for a couple of months now, and I must say, the distance is impressive! They really add some yards to my drives.

That’s great to hear! I’ve found the feel around the greens to be exceptional. Almost buttery!

I love the Pro V1s as well. The accuracy is spot on! I used to rely on other brands, but these have changed my game for the better.

I totally agree! I’ve also switched from other brands, and the Pro V1s make a noticeable difference. Who knew a ball could do so much?

I noticed a dip in my performance when I switched to these. They felt great, but my drives lacked the distance I was expecting.

Wow, that’s interesting, rreynolds! I found the opposite to be true. More distance and better feel. Maybe it’s a swing thing?

I love the way these balls grips the greens! They provide wonderful feedback during chips and putts.

Absolutely! They give you confidence when you’re trying to dial in those tricky shots.

Just a heads-up, if you’re playing in windy conditions, I found that these balls can get affected. The performance varies a bit.

Thanks for the tip, pfitzpatrick! I usually play on calm days, but it’s worth noting!

Has anyone compared the Pro V1 392 to other brands? I’m curious how they fare against the Callaway Chrome Soft balls.

I did a test, and I preferred the Pro V1 for feel, but the Chrome Soft was very close.

For the price, I still think the Pro V1s are the best! Value and performance are top-notch.

I find that I play better when it’s fun. So, I named my Pro V1s! They’re called ‘The Distance Duo.’ Thanks for the boost, Titleist!

That’s hilarious! I might just do the same. Gotta keep it lively on the course!

Feeling nostalgic, have the Pro V1s always performed this well? I remember when they were first released!

They’ve certainly evolved! I remember the early models; they’re not even comparable to today’s Pro V1s. Technology is amazing.

I’ve been using the Pro V1 392 balls for about six months now. They hold up really well, even in wet conditions. I’ve had a few storms hit while playing, and the balls still felt and performed like new. Highly recommend!

I’ve found the same! The durability is impressive. I played a round in extreme heat, and they surprisingly retained their shape and feel.
