Hey everyone, I’m planning a golfing trip soon and looking for great courses to play. Can anyone recommend some top-notch golf courses? I’m particularly interested in those with scenic views and well-maintained greens. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
If you’re looking for a beautiful course, you definitely need to check out Pebble Beach in California. The views of the Pacific Ocean are absolutely stunning, and the course is in immaculate condition. It’s a bit pricey, but worth every penny!
I’ve heard so much about Pebble Beach! Can anyone comment on the difficulty level? I’m an intermediate player and want to make sure it’s not too challenging.
Another great course is TPC Sawgrass in Florida. The 17th hole island green is iconic and thrilling to play. It’s challenging but worth the experience!
I’ve played at Pebble Beach a couple of times. It’s definitely challenging but not insurmountable for an intermediate player. Focus on the fairways, and you’ll be fine!
Hey guys, if you’re around Arizona, Troon North Golf Club is a must-play. The desert scenery is unique and the course is very well kept. Plus, there’s a great clubhouse with excellent food!
As lovely as Pebble Beach sounds, I’m looking for more budget-friendly options. Any recommendations that won’t break the bank?
Green Lakes State Park in New York has a great course for an affordable price! Scenic views of the lakes and the course is quite forgiving.
Don’t forget about Pinehurst No. 2 in North Carolina. It’s historic and provides a balanced challenge for different skill levels. A bit pricier, but a piece of golf history!
Green Lakes sounds like a gem! Thanks for the tip, Pamela.
The island green is definitely iconic but also nerve-wracking! Every shot feels like a make-or-break moment. Loved it!
Might not be as famous, but Coeur d’Alene in Idaho with its floating green is something special. Not just a gimmick, the course itself is pristine!
The floating green is on my bucket list! Anyone knows how challenging Coeur d’Alene is for beginners?
I played Coeur d’Alene last spring. The floating green is actually quite beginner-friendly with wide fairways and forgiving roughs. Give it a go!
How about courses outside of the US? Any recommendations for a memorable international golfing experience?
St. Andrews in Scotland is the mecca of golf! Playing there is like walking through history. A must for any golf enthusiast.
I second St. Andrews! Though don’t forget about Royal County Down in Northern Ireland. Stunning views and a challenging course layout.
Hope to play there one day. Any tips for planning a trip to St. Andrews?
Make sure to book your tee times well in advance, especially during the high season. Also, try to play some of the other courses in the area—plenty of gems in Scotland.
Anyone here played at Augusta National? Doubtful but curious to hear if anyone has insider stories or experiences.
