Looking for a Lamkin UTX Review – How Do They Really Perform?

I’m in the market for some new golf grips and I’ve been hearing a lot about the Lamkin UTX. Before I make a purchase, I’d love to get some feedback from those of you who have tried them out.

What to Consider:

  • Comfort: How do they feel during a round? Are they easy on the hands?
  • Durability: Do they hold up well through various weather conditions and usage?
  • Tackiness: How does the grip perform when your hands are sweaty?
  • Comparison: How do they stack up against other grips you’ve used?

If anyone has insights or personal experiences with the Lamkin UTX grips, I’d really appreciate your thoughts. Any specific pros and cons you’ve spotted? Thanks in advance for your help!

I recently switched to Lamkin UTX grips and have been impressed with their performance in both wet and dry conditions. They really do offer excellent traction!

I’m glad to hear that! I was worried about slipping with these grips in the rain. Do they feel comfortable for long rounds?

Definitely! The UTX grips have a soft touch which adds to the comfort, even after several hours of play. I’ve played in some heavy rain, and they just performed well!

What I appreciate is how they maintain control. I never feel like I’m losing my grip, even when it’s humid!

That’s great to hear! How about their performance in hot weather? Any issues with sweat?

In hot conditions, they can get a bit slick if your hands are really sweaty, but a quick wipe usually does the trick! Overall, not a deal-breaker for me.

I love the texture on these grips; they provide a good balance of feel and control. Just curious, is the thickness comfortable for everyone?

I find them perfect but it really depends on your personal preference. Some players like a thinner grip for better feel, while others prefer a thicker one.

Totally makes sense! I have smaller hands, so I think I’d lean towards a thinner grip. What’s the feedback on durability?

I’ve had mine for a year, and they are holding up really well. No signs of wear! They seem to be quite durable overall.

Funny you mention wear; I thought they might wear out fast given how much I use them! But they’ve surprised me.

That’s reassuring! I think I’m sold on trying them out. Any specific models you recommend?

The standard UTX is great, but if you want something unique, check out the multi-color options. They look awesome!

Just make sure you pick a color that matches your bag! :joy: I went all out and got neon grips. They’re a hit at the course!

I’ve been using Lamkin UTX grips for about a year now. The materials feel premium and provide a great tackiness. However, I’m curious about how they’ll hold up over time.

I totally agree! The grip is fantastic right out of the box, but I’m wondering about wear and tear after extensive use. Anyone have insights?

I’ve played around 50 rounds with my UTX grips, and they’re still holding strong! Very little signs of wear. They do require occasional cleaning, though, to maintain that tackiness.

What do you use for cleaning? I want to ensure I’m using the right materials so that I don’t damage the grip.

I usually just use warm water and a mild soap on a cloth. It’s worked wonders for my grips! They feel fresh and tacky after cleaning.
