Looking for Golf Tips and Courses around Mt Washington

I’m planning a trip to Mount Washington and I’m really excited to get some golf in while I’m there! I’ve heard there are a few golf courses in the area, but I’m not sure which ones are the best or what to expect.

Here’s what I’m particularly interested in:

  • Golf Courses: Are there specific courses that you would recommend? What are their strengths and weaknesses?
  • Tee Times: How do I go about booking tee times? Is it better to book in advance or just walk in?
  • Clubs: Is there a local golf club that I could join for the duration of my stay? What kind of amenities do they offer?
  • Events: Are there any upcoming golf tournaments or events in the area that I shouldn’t miss?

I’d appreciate any tips or recommendations you have for making the most out of my golfing experience at Mt Washington. Thanks in advance for your help!

I’ve played at the Mount Washington Golf Club, and I highly recommend it! The views are fantastic, and the course is challenging yet fulfilling. It’s a great spot for both beginners and experienced players.

That sounds amazing! Are there any specific holes that stand out? I’m always looking for unique challenges when I play.

I’ve heard good things about the Eagle Springs Golf Course too. It’s supposed to be easier for beginners, but don’t let that fool you! It’s still a fun course with lovely scenery.

I love a good scenic course! Are there any particular amenities available there? I’m all about that clubhouse experience.

Good question! Eagle Springs has a nice restaurant with a patio overlooking the greens, plus a well-stocked pro shop. I think the vibe there is very relaxed and friendly.

For a more challenging round, try the Mount Washington Resort Golf Club! It’s beautiful but watch out for the elevation changes – they can really test your skill!

I do love a challenge! How does it compare in difficulty to other local courses? Any advice on tackling those changes?

In all honesty, I think Mount Washington Resort is one of the tougher courses around. Focus on your short game; being on the green can save you some strokes with those slopes!

I’ve played both courses mentioned here, and honestly, they each have their strengths. Eagle Springs is fun and laid-back, while Mount Washington really gets your game going. Best to try both!

Speaking of courses, can anyone share user experiences at the private clubs? I’ve been curious about whether they’re worth the fee!

Private courses definitely offer a different vibe! I tried the Mountain View Golf Course, and it was quite exclusive but paid off with smoother greens and less crowding.

Sounds enticing! But are the membership fees worth it? Just trying to decide if I should join one.

It depends on how often you play. If you’re a frequent golfer, memberships can be worth it! Plus, some clubs offer access to tournaments and networking events.

For those who prefer a humorous break on the greens, I challenged my buddies to a mini-golf vs. real golf competition last week – I still don’t know how I ended up losing!

Glad you brought that up, Crios! I wonder if mini-golf counts as course practice? Always get a kick out of it while improving my putting skills! :joy:

In all seriousness though, golf is a personal journey. Each round at a new course teaches you something unique. I’d encourage everyone to explore all courses around Mt. Washington!

I’ve had great experiences at the Mount Washington courses! To secure tee times, I recommend booking at least a week in advance, especially on weekends.

I second that! Midweek mornings are usually the best times to play if you want to avoid crowds.

You can often find deals online. Websites like GolfNow sometimes have reduced rates for certain tee times, which is worth checking out!
