I’m planning a golf trip to Phoenix soon and I’m on the lookout for some great golf vacation packages. If anyone has experience with golf resorts or vacation rentals that cater specifically to golfers, I’d love to hear your suggestions!
What I’m Looking For:
Top Golf Courses: Which courses in the Phoenix area are must-plays? Any hidden gems?
Vacation Packages: Are there any good deals that combine accommodation and golf? I’m preferably looking for packages that offer tee times included.
Accommodations: Any recommendations for hotels or resorts that are golfer-friendly? It would be great to stay somewhere close to the courses with good amenities.
Expected Trip Details:
Travel Dates: Late spring (around May)
Group Size: 4 friends, all at different skill levels, from beginners to intermediate.
Additional Info:
If you’ve gone on a golf vacation to Phoenix before, feel free to share your experiences. I’m also open to any tips on what to do in the area aside from just golfing. Thanks in advance for your help!
For a stunning golf vacation in Phoenix, I highly recommend Troon North. It has two gorgeous courses, the Monument and the Pinnacle. Both are challenging, with beautiful desert landscapes. There are great amenities too, like a top-notch clubhouse and fantastic dining options!
Absolutely agree! Troon North is one of my favorites. The views on the Pinnacle course are just breathtaking. It’s definitely a must-visit for golf lovers!
Another great option is the Wigwam Golf Resort. It has three very different courses, and the resort amenities make it perfect for a golf vacation. Just be prepared; the Gold Course can be quite tricky with its water hazards!
The Wigwam is fantastic! I love the rich history of the place. It’s a unique resort with a lot of character. Plus, their spa treatments are really nice after a long day on the course!
Don’t miss out on the Phoenix Country Club! It’s a classic golf course and offers a very different experience compared to desert courses. The membership vibe feels exclusive, and the fairways are in pristine condition.
Does anyone have thoughts on the Papago Golf Course? I heard it’s a hidden gem and is very affordable. I’d love to know more about its layout and difficulty level if anyone has played there.
Papago is indeed a gem! It’s friendly for all skill levels, and the views of Camelback Mountain are amazing. Definitely worth playing if you’re looking for something budget-friendly!
If you’re a fan of links-style golf, you should check out the Legacy Golf Resort. It’s fun and offers a casual atmosphere. But watch out for the bunkers; they can be quite punishing!
I’d say give the Desert Willow a shot too! The beautiful landscaping really makes it feel like you’re playing golf in paradise. Plus, their service is exceptional!
Can anyone share their thoughts on the golf schools in Phoenix as well? I want to improve my game while I’m there. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
I took a lesson at the Fox Hill Golf Academy last summer and found it very helpful. The instructors were great, and they had some unique drills. Highly recommend if you want to sharpen your skills!
For a good laugh, don’t forget the course at the Rattlesnake Ranch Golf Club! Just watch for the wildlife. I had a friend who had quite the encounter with a snake while putting!
Reflecting on my last trip, I realize that every course has its own charm. I enjoyed playing at the Desert Highlands; it’s tough, but the beautiful mountain views make the challenge worthwhile.
Phoenix is fantastic for golf vacations! I recommend checking out the JW Marriott Desert Ridge. They offer great stay-and-play packages that include meals and spa credits.
I have stayed at the Fairmont Princess. They have excellent golf packages that include tee times and transfers. Plus, their service is top-notch! Highly recommended.
