What are the best golf courses in Puerto Vallarta?

I’m planning a trip to Puerto Vallarta and I’m really interested in hitting some of the golf courses while I’m there. I’ve heard that Puerto Vallarta has some amazing courses, but I’m not sure which ones are worth checking out.

Here are a few things I’m really looking for:

  • Course Quality: What courses have the best maintenance and play conditions?
  • Reviews: Any personal experiences would be helpful. What did you like or dislike?
  • Amenities: What kind of amenities do the courses offer?
  • Location: Are the courses easy to get to and are they in beautiful environments?
  • Pricing: I would love to know about the cost per round or any packages you might recommend.

If anyone has recommendations or advice on the best places to play, I’d really appreciate it! Thanks in advance for your help and happy golfing!

I had an amazing time at the Vallarta Nicklaus course! The layout is really challenging with some terrific ocean views, especially on the back nine.

Absolutely agree! The ocean holes are definitely signature features. Have you played Marina Vallarta? It’s a slightly different vibe.

Marina Vallarta is great! The course design flows nicely, with plenty of water features. It’s a fun but less demanding round compared to Nicklaus.

You nailed it! Also, the clubhouse there has one of the best restaurants. Perfect place to unwind after a game.

Has anyone experience golfing at Vista Vallarta? I heard both courses (we had the Nicklaus and Palmer) are spectacular!

Yes! Vista Vallarta is amazing. The Nicklaus course is visually stunning and has some seriously tricky holes. The layout takes full advantage of the natural landscape.

Exactly! And if you enjoy wildlife, you might see some interesting critters while you play.

I laughed when I saw a deer on the course last time! The natural surroundings make it a unique experience.

What about the course at El Tigre? I’ve heard mixed reviews on its playability but great things about its design.

El Tigre has a beautiful layout, though I found it quite challenging. Maybe it’s not for beginners, but the scenery is worth the struggle.

It’s definitely more challenging! But I agree, the design is picturesque, particularly the lush surroundings.

I think the views could distract you from your score! Anyone else felt that way?

Totally! I’ve missed a few putts just admiring the scenery at these courses! It’s a great distraction.

Is there a favorite hole that stands out to anyone? Mine has to be the par 3 at Nicklaus with the ocean view. Breathtaking!

Absolutely! And let’s not forget the signature hole at Vista Vallarta either. What a fantastic view!

If you’re into challenges, the 18th at El Tigre is a monster! It really tests your skills. Anyone brave enough to tackle it?

I tried and nearly lost my ball in the water! Definitely a memorable experience, though.

If you’re looking for great golf courses in Puerto Vallarta, I highly recommend Vista Vallarta. The course is well-maintained and offers stunning views! It’s suitable for both beginners and seasoned players.

I’ve heard a lot about that place! Are the greens as fast as people say?
