I’ve recently taken up golf and I’m planning a trip to The Villages, Florida. I’ve heard some great things about the golf scene out there, and I wanted to get recommendations on the best golf courses to check out.
Here’s what I’m looking for:
- Course Quality: Which courses have the best conditions?
- Scenic Views: I’m all about beautiful landscapes while I play.
- Difficulty Level: As a beginner, I’d love to know which courses are friendly for newcomers.
- Facility Amenities: Any good spots for food or practice areas?
Specific Courses to Consider:
If you have specific courses in mind that you think I should definitely play, please list them! It would be great to hear about personal experiences, tips, or any must-know information.
Links to Reviews:
If you have any links to reviews or guides, can you share those as well? It would really help me get a clearer picture of what to expect.
I’m super excited to hit the greens, and I appreciate any help you can provide to make this trip memorable!
I’ve played several courses in The Villages, and I have to say that the quality is impressive overall. The greens and fairways are well-maintained, especially at the Havana Country Club.
Absolutely! Havana is one of my favorites too. The clubhouse has a vibrant atmosphere that enhances the overall experience.
I had a great experience at the Lopez Legacy Course last summer. The layout is challenging yet fun, and the staff is very friendly!

Definitely! The food at Lopez is fantastic, and they have a nice selection of drinks. You won’t be disappointed!
For newcomers, I recommend starting with the executive courses. They are well-kept and perfect for practicing your short game without breaking the bank.
I appreciate your guidance, Sergio! Speaking of the executive courses, which one do you think is the best for beginners?
The Mulberry Course is great for beginners! The fairways are forgiving, and it’s less crowded than others, making it easier to play.
Mulberry is nice, but have you tried the Glenview Country Club? The layout is scenic and the conditioning is top-notch!

Glenview is on my list! How does it compare with the other premium courses?

It holds its own! The clubhouse at Glenview has great amenities, and the staff goes above and beyond to provide a great experience.
I’ve had mixed experiences at some courses, to be honest. Some days the greens can be inconsistent, which can be frustrating for serious players.

That’s a valid point. Frustrating greens can ruin the experience, but usually it’s the maintenance staff that could use more oversight.

I guess at least we can all agree that the overall ambiance of The Villages is delightful, even if certain courses have their quirks!
I’ve played a few courses in The Villages and found that the pricing can vary quite a bit. For instance, the courses here usually have membership options that can save you a lot if you play regularly. Daily fees can be steep for non-residents though!
That’s good to know! Are there any specific courses you recommend for best value?
The best value courses often have special packages for residents. I recommend checking out the monthly membership deals; they offer unlimited play at a set price, which is great if you’re serious about golf!
That’s a good point! Is there a specific course you think has the best membership deal? I would love to know more!

I’ve found that the executive courses have low daily fees, which makes them very accessible. Plus, the scenery is beautiful! Just don’t forget your sunscreen!
