What are the Best Public Golf Courses in Chattanooga, TN?

I’m planning a golf trip to Chattanooga, TN, and I’m on the hunt for some of the best public golf courses in the area. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s played there or has recommendations. Here are a few things I’m particularly interested in:

  • Course Quality: Which courses offer the best greens and fairways?
  • Accessibility: Are there courses that are easy to book tee times at?
  • Amenities: What courses have great facilities, like practice areas or pro shops?
  • Scenic Views: Any courses that offer beautiful views of the surrounding area?

It would be great if you could share your experiences, any must-plays, or even insider tips on getting the most out of a golf trip in Chattanooga. Thanks in advance for your suggestions! Looking forward to some great rounds of golf!

I highly recommend Lookout Mountain Golf Club. It’s got stunning views and a challenging layout. The greens are fast, and it’s well-maintained. Definitely worth a visit!

Lookout Mountain is great, but don’t overlook the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club. It has fantastic amenities and a robust pro shop. The difficulty level is quite high, though!

I love that course! It’s perfect for a more relaxed day on the greens. Great for family outings, especially if you have non-golfers with you.

Has anyone played at Moccasin Bend Golf Club? I’ve heard mixed reviews. Some say it’s a hidden gem while others find it lacking in upkeep. What’s the consensus here?

I’ve played there a few times. The layout is enjoyable, but the course conditions can vary. It’s a hit or miss, but it can be a fun round if the weather’s good!

Honestly, if you’re looking for something quirky, try the public nine-hole at Brown Acres Golf Course. It’s a fun little course and the locals are super friendly. Made for some good laughs on my last round!

Brown Acres is definitely lively! I always have a blast there. Plus, the price is unbeatable for a round of golf!

If you’re looking for affordable options in Chattanooga, look no further than the Bluewater Golf Course. It’s got great greens and many locals swear by it for quality without the hefty price tag.

I totally agree! Bluewater has some amazing specials during the weekdays. Definitely check it out!

You should also consider the Brainerd Golf Course. The rates are reasonable, and they often have discounts for residents. They even host local tournaments, which makes for a fun atmosphere!

I think everyone should check out the Chattanooga Golf & Country Club. While it’s a little pricier, they offer fantastic discounts for first-time visitors and juniors. Definitely worth a look!

Wow, thanks for the tip! I didn’t know they had deals for juniors. That’s awesome!

I recently played at the Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center. It’s not your typical course, but it’s absolutely beautiful, and they have affordable rates for the unique experience!

That sounds intriguing! I love the idea of nature and golf combined. How are the projectiles there?

For the best deals, keep an eye out for deal websites or the local newspaper. I’ve found some great ‘2 for 1’ offers at various courses around town!
