Who's the Best Putting Coach You'd Recommend?

I’ve been struggling with my putting lately and I’m on the hunt for the best putting coach to help level up my game. It’s crucial for me to find someone who not only understands the mechanics of putting but also has a proven track record of helping golfers improve their skills.

What I’m Looking For:

  • Experience: Ideally, I want a coach who has worked with players at various skill levels and has solid testimonials or reviews.
  • Coaching Style: A coach who can offer personalized instruction and adapt to my specific needs would be perfect. I respond best to positive reinforcement, so a supportive teaching approach is a must!
  • Location: I’m based in [Your Location], so local options are preferable, but I’m open to virtual coaching if the fit is right.

Questions for You:

  • Have you worked with any putting coaches that you would recommend?
  • What approaches or techniques have you found particularly effective?
  • Are there any online programs that focus on putting improvement?

I really appreciate any feedback you can provide! Looking to lower my scores and make the greens a lot less daunting. Thanks!

I’ve been working with a coach named Mike Smith. He has over 15 years of experience and is certified by the PGA. Highly recommend him!

I’ve heard great things about Mike too! His focus on the mental aspect of putting is a game-changer. Anyone else experienced this?

You guys should also look into Sarah Johnson. She’s got a solid background with a Master’s degree in Sports Psychology and 10 years coaching pro golfers.

I didn’t know she had a Master’s! That truly makes her stand out.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think experience matters most? I’ve worked with some certified coaches, but their lack of hands-on experience showed.

I agree. A good mix of experience and credentials seems ideal. What do you all think?

I’ve been with Coach Allen for 12 years. He’s a former PGA tour player and knows putting like the back of his hand. Results show what he can do!

Sounds impressive! How does he tailor his methods to different skill levels?

I think it really boils down to personal fit. I had a coach who was great technically but failed to connect personally. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Absolutely! Finding a coach who understands your personality can be just as important.

On a lighter note, I think my putting coach just wants me to buy him snacks! He said it helps with my concentration!

Haha! Maybe he’s onto something. A snack-break putting session could be fun!

I’ve also heard mixed reviews about Bob Lee; he’s been coaching for 20 years but isn’t PGA certified. Anyone worked with him?

I tried a session with Bob but didn’t see much improvement. His approach felt outdated. Just my two cents.

I highly recommend working with Brad Faxon. His approach focuses on using drills tailored to individual weaknesses and emphasizes mental strategies alongside technical skills. It’s refreshing!

I’ve heard great things about his use of technology in putting, especially the SAM PuttLab. Has anyone tried that?

I’ve been working with a coach who uses a very hands-on approach with simple drills outside on the course. It’s been effective for me but lacks the tech side like many others do. Anyone else prefer traditional methods?

I appreciate that! Sometimes, the basics are all you need. But I think incorporating tech can really enhance learning too.

I’d suggest checking out Mike Adams. His personalized strategies work wonders based on each individual’s needs. He focuses a lot on alignment and setup, which transformed my game!
